Three simple reasons to why you don't finish the race well

I just want to make this post very simple, so I am not going to spend any time juggling all about. So lets get straight into business shall we!

Today I just want to give you the three reasons why most prophesying believer never finish the race well especially when it comes to the mattes of faith. Sometimes in life we are so committed to serving God, but then comes the times when we are so down and emptied to the extent we forget who God is and who we are in God. The Christian life is pictured in the Bible as a race to run; a course to finish. The Apostle Paul was determined to finish his course with joy and the ministry which he had received of the Lord (Acts 20:24). Shortly before his death, he could give this testimony: “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith” (2 Timothy 4:7) Those of you who have come to know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior have also been enlisted in a race. It is unfortunate, however, that many Christians are wandering aimlessly off the track. Many Christians begin strong--they begin their Christian life with a sprint, full of energy and joy--but very few seem to finish strong. I am not talking about the aging process here either. Many Christians, who start strong as teenagers, begin to waver as adults because of the demands of their career. Other Christians begin strong in mid-life only lose interest as other responsibilities increase. The Christian life should not only begin strong, but it should also finish strong . I'm surprised by the large number of those who begin following Christ, intent on faithfulness and fruitfulness, and yet do not finish well. So here are the three simple reasons to why many Christians are not finishing well….

Reason number one is that people become weary in their well being; Paul was one of the greatest soldiers in God’s army in the New Testament. At the end of his ministry, he declared that he had “finished my course” (2 Tim. 4:7, KJV)! The only way to finish our course or term of duty is to avoid becoming weary in well-doing.

Reason number two why believers never finish well is pride: Once we grasp the knowledge about God we tend to think that we know so much about God and this leads us to forget all about God. Pride and arrogance are conspicuous among the rich, the powerful, the successful, the famous, and celebrities of all sorts, and even some religious leaders. And it is also alive and well in ordinary people, including each of us. Yet few of us realize how dangerous it is to our souls and how greatly it hinders our intimacy with God and love for others. Pride leads us astray, it leads us to the fires of hell. If we want to finish the race well then we need to stop being proud, especially when it comes to the matters of faith. Pride will hinder us from the power of finishing the race well. If we are meant to finish the race well then we have got to set pride aside. Let us all learn about the power of humility. The desire to lift up and exalt ourselves beyond our place as God’s creature lies at the heart of pride. As people lose or suppress the knowledge of God, spiritual darkness grows and a psychological inversion occurs: in their thinking God becomes smaller and they become larger. The center of gravity in their mental lives shifts from God to themselves.

1. Galatians 6:7–9 In this first example you will discover that God will not allow Himself to be mocked. Those who attempt to sneer at the sincere efforts of God’s soldiers will be unable to make the saints weary!

Reason number three which is the last for today is we tend to change the true nature of God. I have experienced this in my own life, so when I talk about it, I have seen how it can stop us as Christians from finishing the race well. There are times in my life when I tried creating my own God so that I could satisfy my own desires. We tend to make God over and over. If we are to finish well in this race we are in, we ought to stop making God in our own way, rather let us learn how God is. The best way to learn how God is and who He truly is, is by reflecting back to His word. God has revealed Himself in his word. Let us not make God what he is not. Sometimes we are so zealous for God to the extent we make up things concerning God, things that are not true about Him. Let us stop having a funny perception about God. Let us stop creating our own God, let us see the true God and what He does. Let us see the true characters of God. If we do that we will never finish the race well.

So let us keep these three key points in mind, it will help us not to grow weary in our Christian faith.

Do not grow weary in your well being. Stay focused on Christ, focus on your prize eternal hope. Don’t let the circumstance in your life lead you away from Him who give you eternal life. When you feel like growing weary, why not call on God to give you the strength to move forward. If you believe in God, surely He will cover you.

Don’t become to prideful. Pride will lead you away from God, and it will hinder you from learning more about God. God revealed himself to those who humbles themselves. If you become to proud of yourself, then God will stop revealing Himself to you.

Don’t try to change the true nature of God. Let God be God, and you be you. Don’t create up a God so that you can satisfy your own desires.

Let us all stay focus on Christ if we really want to finish this race well, and let us not create a God of our own, for we surely know where this will lead us to.

Because of His love, I am a secured package,

Should Your Religion Be Based On Your Feelings? Here is the answer..

Should a person decide what to believe based on his or her feelings or something that does not change with moods and circumstances? Big question! Imagine Jesus of Nazareth nailed up on the cross, dying for our sins. Suppose He said, “This is not fun. I am not feeling anything good up here. Let me off this cross. I expected good feelings, not this! Pain is not where it is at for Me. My commitment to die to pay the penalty for man’s sin is far beyond what I am feeling right now.” How would you have counseled Jesus when the bad pain hit Him? Feelings based religion is shaky. Commitments based on good feelings are subject to change any day. This unbiblical approach would make all our commitments very tentative, unpredictable, shaky. This includes: marriage, family, job and friends. A marriage vow would only mean, “I’ll stay with you as long as my good feelings last. I expect only good times, no bad ones.” Jesus did not bail out when the going got tough. Some beliefs a Christian should also...

The second necessary step in designing a successful nonprofit strategy is knowing your beneficiaries

Last week I started a series of blog posts on building a strong and successful strategy for your nonprofit and I started with mentioning the first necessary step you will need to examine before kicking off with your strategy. If you haven’t read that post, I recommend that you visit the article HERE before continuing with this one. Having familiarity with the first article will help you understand this one even much better. This week we are looking at the second step to take when designing your nonprofit strategy, and that step in designing and building a strong and successful strategy for your nonprofit is clearly knowing, stating, and understanding who your beneficiaries are. Some organizations talk about beneficiaries, others refer to participants, others to clients, service users or partners. Here we will refer to beneficiaries as the people whom your nonprofit seeks to benefit. The reason why many nonprofit strategies fail is because too often nonprofits and funders ignore the con...

Being set free by the master who holds the keys to life

After Jesus died on the cross He went down to hell, crushed the devil, and took the keys of life. The devil held us prisoners to fear of death, but now we are given the chance to enjoy eternal life with God the father. The greatest gift the human race can ever earn. It’s all free of charge to be set free, for the master has promised to do this free of charge to all those who desire to be free. If you have not yet accepted Christ, then you are still in a prison cell and you need to be freed from this. The only way that can happen is if you humble yourself and come to the master who has the keys to set you free. If you are in the devils prison, you can’t save yourself, not matter how good you think you are in escaping. You will never be able to escape until you let the master who took the keys set you free. You will try million ways and times, but I assure you, you will never succeed on your own. Many of you may say ‘well I am free’, I can assure you that you are only free in the flesh; ...
