The redemption of our bodies in the age to come

So many questions are being asked concerning what will happen to our bodies once we die. The question comes from both believers and non believers, but I’m definitely sure believers know definitely what will happen to their bodies. Just as God didn’t let Christ’s body decay, the same implies to us if we are believers in Christ whom the father revealed to us, God will not let our eternal bodies decay. Though the body we posses now may decay:  God has promised us through Jesus Christ that we will receive eternal bodies. Bodies that will never see decay bodies that will never suffer sickness or see death. We will receive our eternal bodies as a beautiful gift in the new life to come. Those who live in and for Christ will always reflect him even in the bodies to come. Our resurrected body will look like His resurrected body, the likeness of His resurrected body with our bodies.

Through Christ we receive a body that can be touched, a body that speaks whose voice can be heard, a body that can be felt, a body beyond the limits and power of gravity. We will posses bodies as the ones we have now, the difference is that, our eternal body will never suffer or see any decay, for God has designed it for eternity. With Christ we are co-heirs of God and through Him we receive these beautiful gifts from the father. When I say our bodies will look like Christ’s body, we first have to recall the body Christ possessed on the resurrection. The body our Lord Jesus possessed after the resurrection was a human body that could eat, be felt, be heard and a body that was not bounded into any laws of this world. His body was the same as the bodies we possess nowadays.

The difference between the resurrected body of Christ and our bodies is that the body of the resurrected Christ was not bound by the laws that bind our bodies. The body we are to receive for eternity is not bounded to material things. With this blessed body, we will be able to move before the strains of gravity and move beyond thoughts. Christ’s resurrected body could travel at the speed of thought, it could not be held by material things or gravity. Since we are heirs of Christ our bodies will look and act as His body did after the resurrection. We are to bear it in mind that flesh and blood cannot inherit the heavenly and we have to understand that there are heavenly body and earthly body. We cannot inherit that of heaven if we have not let go of this old one. The earthly body is buried in corruption but raised with incorruption. The body we have known is buried with dishonor, but the one to come is raised in glory. It is buried in weakness, it’s raised in power. These are the qualities of the new body we are to receive. I would like you to go on and read 1 Corinthians chapter 15, read the whole chapter.

Therefore let us all understand that, in grace we are joined in Christ’s death and we are risen in his glory. We inherit what He has received from the father; this includes the risen perfected body we are going to receive for eternity. Spiritual death is separation from God. The relationship between man and God was brought back by Christ through His death on the cross. The body we have is buried as a soul’s body; it is raised with spirit body. There is soulish body and there is a spiritual body. Our home sickness should be heaven and not earth.

After understanding all this, I hope that you have seen the power of the body that is to come through our resurrection in Christ. God has blessed us so much, even with an everlasting body that we can enjoy an everlasting intimacy with Him. When this body dies, we are going to receive a body that will never see decay again. This is hope in Christ Jesus.

Should Your Religion Be Based On Your Feelings? Here is the answer..

Should a person decide what to believe based on his or her feelings or something that does not change with moods and circumstances? Big question! Imagine Jesus of Nazareth nailed up on the cross, dying for our sins. Suppose He said, “This is not fun. I am not feeling anything good up here. Let me off this cross. I expected good feelings, not this! Pain is not where it is at for Me. My commitment to die to pay the penalty for man’s sin is far beyond what I am feeling right now.” How would you have counseled Jesus when the bad pain hit Him? Feelings based religion is shaky. Commitments based on good feelings are subject to change any day. This unbiblical approach would make all our commitments very tentative, unpredictable, shaky. This includes: marriage, family, job and friends. A marriage vow would only mean, “I’ll stay with you as long as my good feelings last. I expect only good times, no bad ones.” Jesus did not bail out when the going got tough. Some beliefs a Christian should also...

The second necessary step in designing a successful nonprofit strategy is knowing your beneficiaries

Last week I started a series of blog posts on building a strong and successful strategy for your nonprofit and I started with mentioning the first necessary step you will need to examine before kicking off with your strategy. If you haven’t read that post, I recommend that you visit the article HERE before continuing with this one. Having familiarity with the first article will help you understand this one even much better. This week we are looking at the second step to take when designing your nonprofit strategy, and that step in designing and building a strong and successful strategy for your nonprofit is clearly knowing, stating, and understanding who your beneficiaries are. Some organizations talk about beneficiaries, others refer to participants, others to clients, service users or partners. Here we will refer to beneficiaries as the people whom your nonprofit seeks to benefit. The reason why many nonprofit strategies fail is because too often nonprofits and funders ignore the con...

Being set free by the master who holds the keys to life

After Jesus died on the cross He went down to hell, crushed the devil, and took the keys of life. The devil held us prisoners to fear of death, but now we are given the chance to enjoy eternal life with God the father. The greatest gift the human race can ever earn. It’s all free of charge to be set free, for the master has promised to do this free of charge to all those who desire to be free. If you have not yet accepted Christ, then you are still in a prison cell and you need to be freed from this. The only way that can happen is if you humble yourself and come to the master who has the keys to set you free. If you are in the devils prison, you can’t save yourself, not matter how good you think you are in escaping. You will never be able to escape until you let the master who took the keys set you free. You will try million ways and times, but I assure you, you will never succeed on your own. Many of you may say ‘well I am free’, I can assure you that you are only free in the flesh; ...
