Understanding what the Bible is

The Bible is a divine library as it contains sixty six books. The Old Testament contains 39 books and 27 in the New Testament. I must say that, there is no other library on earth that requires being treasured as this one. The books in this divine library give a person a whole new meaning in life. The books in this library give life to those who are willing to accept what has been written in them. The Bible is His story as we say the word History. We are a part of this story, but sometimes it can be so hard to see ourselves being a part of the story. It was designed for us, yet so many times we fail to see that. Some people have even denied it’s writings by taking it to be a mere library. The books in this divine library were written by no less than 36 authors over a period of 1600 years. The authors wrote the books under the control of God. They were guided by God in writing it which makes it an inspiration of God Himself. The Bible as a divine library is inspired by God (2 Peter 1:21), (2 Timothy 3:16-17). The Bible is the word of God, one of the books in this divine library written by David a man who was close to God’s own heart confirms this (Psalm 119:89), and the Bible as a complete divine Library is the inspired, God breathed word of God. The bible is the only written revelation of God given to man. This divine library is the only source that provides details on the beginning of man and earth and all its inhabitants.

The grand theme of the entire library is Christ Jesus who died on the cross so that you and I can have the opportunity to be reunited to God himself. The bible is the beginning of the History to the end of the time. It has the past, the present and future story of mankind and the universe in general.  It is the beginning of time (Creation) and the end of time.

Going through this amazing divine Library we can see that the first book (Genesis) speaks of the creation of the world, entrance of sin to mankind, the flood that wiped out the entire human race living out only the family of Noah who were chosen by God, for their commitment of remaining faithful despite those around them. A family that took time to listen to what God had to say, rather than following the trends of their time. From Exodus-Ester we learn about the History of Israel the chosen generation of God. From Job – Solomon these books contains poetry and words of wisdom, these books can lead you to a worth life living if you take the time to read them.  Then from Isaiah- Malachi, these a prophetic books, these books contains prophetic messages that came from God to Israel through His prophets concerning its present condition and future destination.

Coming to the New Testament we can see that From Mathew – John which are known as the gospel, they present the life of Jesus and His ministry on earth. Then moving to acts we see the Acts of the Apostles who were close to Christ himself and ordained by Him. From Romans – Jude, we understand that these are letters sent to churches or believers such as Philemon. Then the last book in this diving Library is the book of Revelation, a book that gives us an insight on events that are to take place in the future.

I hope by now you have understood what the Bible is and will start taking it more serious, especially when it concerns your life and eternal future in general. This is the only book that tells us what the future of mankind is heading to. This is the only book that gives you and I hope for the future. This book helps us to see where we came from, were we are, and were we are heading to.  If you want to know the true meaning of life and your purpose, then here in this library is where you should start. If you want to hold on to life, then start here. The words in this book gives us all a new meaning in life’s purpose. If you don’t want to live a random life that has no purpose, then start here.

I hope that you have found this post helpful to you, thank you very much for reading it. In the next upcoming post we will look at who God is according to His revelation to man through this divine Library. I hope and pray that you don’t miss out on this one.

Because of His love, I am a secured package,

Should Your Religion Be Based On Your Feelings? Here is the answer..

Should a person decide what to believe based on his or her feelings or something that does not change with moods and circumstances? Big question! Imagine Jesus of Nazareth nailed up on the cross, dying for our sins. Suppose He said, “This is not fun. I am not feeling anything good up here. Let me off this cross. I expected good feelings, not this! Pain is not where it is at for Me. My commitment to die to pay the penalty for man’s sin is far beyond what I am feeling right now.” How would you have counseled Jesus when the bad pain hit Him? Feelings based religion is shaky. Commitments based on good feelings are subject to change any day. This unbiblical approach would make all our commitments very tentative, unpredictable, shaky. This includes: marriage, family, job and friends. A marriage vow would only mean, “I’ll stay with you as long as my good feelings last. I expect only good times, no bad ones.” Jesus did not bail out when the going got tough. Some beliefs a Christian should also...

The second necessary step in designing a successful nonprofit strategy is knowing your beneficiaries

Last week I started a series of blog posts on building a strong and successful strategy for your nonprofit and I started with mentioning the first necessary step you will need to examine before kicking off with your strategy. If you haven’t read that post, I recommend that you visit the article HERE before continuing with this one. Having familiarity with the first article will help you understand this one even much better. This week we are looking at the second step to take when designing your nonprofit strategy, and that step in designing and building a strong and successful strategy for your nonprofit is clearly knowing, stating, and understanding who your beneficiaries are. Some organizations talk about beneficiaries, others refer to participants, others to clients, service users or partners. Here we will refer to beneficiaries as the people whom your nonprofit seeks to benefit. The reason why many nonprofit strategies fail is because too often nonprofits and funders ignore the con...

Being set free by the master who holds the keys to life

After Jesus died on the cross He went down to hell, crushed the devil, and took the keys of life. The devil held us prisoners to fear of death, but now we are given the chance to enjoy eternal life with God the father. The greatest gift the human race can ever earn. It’s all free of charge to be set free, for the master has promised to do this free of charge to all those who desire to be free. If you have not yet accepted Christ, then you are still in a prison cell and you need to be freed from this. The only way that can happen is if you humble yourself and come to the master who has the keys to set you free. If you are in the devils prison, you can’t save yourself, not matter how good you think you are in escaping. You will never be able to escape until you let the master who took the keys set you free. You will try million ways and times, but I assure you, you will never succeed on your own. Many of you may say ‘well I am free’, I can assure you that you are only free in the flesh; ...
