How gospel tracts can impact the process of personal evangelism

There are so many ways in sharing the gospel with those who we want to reach out to, but sometimes we fail to do so because we can’t seem to see any other ways to share the gospel. We have always thought that, sharing the gospel always starts with a one on one talk. It’s true that it does, but sometimes it requires us to have something to kick off with. When we don’t have anything, then we really don’t get the chance to share the gospel with those who we desire to do so. Well, in this post I am going to share with you about something that you could use to kick off the conversation with.

First of all before we start witnessing we have to understand that, we desperately need to deal with those outside the church and we need to come to the Lord’s house and be filled and blessed with the Holy Spirit before we get out there. When we feel the burden for others in receiving Jesus that’s when we get the passion to testify. We need to have compassion as Christ always did for those who came close to Him.

Now, if you are not good at starting a conversation with someone, but you desire to share the gospel, here is a tip to get you started. I know that most people who can’t start up a conversation are very good in continuing a conversation that has been started by someone else. So what we are going to try doing here is to get the other person who we are trying to witness to, start up the conversation for us. So, how do we do that? It’s very simple, hand them a gospel tract. You might say that sounds ridiculous, but it’s the best way to start up a conversation in witnessing.  I know that most churches do have a number of printed gospel tracts that are meant to be given out. You can use these tracts to start up a conversation that will lead you into sharing the gospel. I have found out that gospel tracts are a very good way to communicate the gospel. Gospel tracts are very good because, they can be used by anyone, they can be left anywhere, and they can be given to anyone.

You might think what I am saying is crazy, but I assure you; people do read gospel tracts, even if they are not yet believers. It will amaze you how God will use those tracts to provide you with an opportunity to witness to them and testify His glory. In the midst of handing those tracts you will see how God will use them to give you an opportunity. It might not be instant, but in one way or the other it will happen, you will definitely get a chance to witness to someone. The best thing to do is never to get tired of handing out those tracts. If you desire to do something like this, get your church involved. Produce tracts and start evangelizing. When handing out tracts, make sure to never hand out tracts you haven’t read. Be sure the tract you are about to hand out has the gospel. Ensure that it tells people how Jesus suffered and died to save their life, if it doesn’t have this message, then it’s not a gospel.

Now we have seen how tracts can help us kick off a witnessing conversation, let us also look at how we can approach people and hand them the tract.

First pray for God to intercede before you hand out a tract. Then do it with a smile and joy, don’t be rude and offensive. Always ask them politely with a smile if they would like you to give them something to read. If you do it this way, many people you approach will likely accept the offer. Be smart with people, be realistic, and feel the need for compassion. Tell them what the tract talks about and ask them if they would to learn more about it. Have respect for their answer, if they do not wish to accept the offer move on to the next person, but I can assure you that a large number of people will accept the offer depending how you present it.

You can see now how gospel tracts can be a good way to open up doors to sharing and witnessing about Christ. If you are one of those people who can’t start up a conversation, then this will be the best method to start up you conversation when it comes to witnessing. We are all called to share the gospel, we all ought to be fisher of men, and we have to do our best to find out ways to share the gospel. You and I are called to this mission and it’s our duty to serve. We are to make witnessing our lifestyle as Christians. Gospel tracts can be a very effective method of evangelism.

I hope that you find this post helpful in the process of evangelism. I hope that it helps you lead more souls to Christ. Remain blessed and let us continue witnessing.

Because of His love, I am forever a secured package

Should Your Religion Be Based On Your Feelings? Here is the answer..

Should a person decide what to believe based on his or her feelings or something that does not change with moods and circumstances? Big question! Imagine Jesus of Nazareth nailed up on the cross, dying for our sins. Suppose He said, “This is not fun. I am not feeling anything good up here. Let me off this cross. I expected good feelings, not this! Pain is not where it is at for Me. My commitment to die to pay the penalty for man’s sin is far beyond what I am feeling right now.” How would you have counseled Jesus when the bad pain hit Him? Feelings based religion is shaky. Commitments based on good feelings are subject to change any day. This unbiblical approach would make all our commitments very tentative, unpredictable, shaky. This includes: marriage, family, job and friends. A marriage vow would only mean, “I’ll stay with you as long as my good feelings last. I expect only good times, no bad ones.” Jesus did not bail out when the going got tough. Some beliefs a Christian should also...

The second necessary step in designing a successful nonprofit strategy is knowing your beneficiaries

Last week I started a series of blog posts on building a strong and successful strategy for your nonprofit and I started with mentioning the first necessary step you will need to examine before kicking off with your strategy. If you haven’t read that post, I recommend that you visit the article HERE before continuing with this one. Having familiarity with the first article will help you understand this one even much better. This week we are looking at the second step to take when designing your nonprofit strategy, and that step in designing and building a strong and successful strategy for your nonprofit is clearly knowing, stating, and understanding who your beneficiaries are. Some organizations talk about beneficiaries, others refer to participants, others to clients, service users or partners. Here we will refer to beneficiaries as the people whom your nonprofit seeks to benefit. The reason why many nonprofit strategies fail is because too often nonprofits and funders ignore the con...

Being set free by the master who holds the keys to life

After Jesus died on the cross He went down to hell, crushed the devil, and took the keys of life. The devil held us prisoners to fear of death, but now we are given the chance to enjoy eternal life with God the father. The greatest gift the human race can ever earn. It’s all free of charge to be set free, for the master has promised to do this free of charge to all those who desire to be free. If you have not yet accepted Christ, then you are still in a prison cell and you need to be freed from this. The only way that can happen is if you humble yourself and come to the master who has the keys to set you free. If you are in the devils prison, you can’t save yourself, not matter how good you think you are in escaping. You will never be able to escape until you let the master who took the keys set you free. You will try million ways and times, but I assure you, you will never succeed on your own. Many of you may say ‘well I am free’, I can assure you that you are only free in the flesh; ...
