Bible diary devotion and prayer session for the 17/03/2016


For our Bible diary devotion and prayer session today, we will be guided by two Bible verses which can really help you in the healing process through a prayerful life. Today we will be guided by 2 Kings 20:5 and Psalm 30:2. God has promised us healing in His word. Whether we are facing spiritual sickness cause by sin, or physical sickness caused by the harm done in this world, God will heal us if we are willing to come to Him, and use the power in His word. God will heal us if we cry out to Him, if we are humble to come to Him, he is always ready to receive and heal us.

So, if you are facing any sickness today, I want you to bring it to God on your knees, remembering what faith is from Hebrews 11:1. If we come to God in the midst of our suffering, we are to believe that God has already dealt with the sickness, what we are facing is just the symptoms, and to overcome the symptoms we need the doctor we can perfectly deal with those symptoms. Jesus is the greatest physician ever. If you come to Him by the promises found in His word, He will surely heal you. For today let us meditate and pray as we read this two Bible verses and you will see How powerful God’s healing is.

2 Kings 20:5

“Go back and tell Hezekiah, the ruler of my people, ‘this is what the Lord, the God of your father David, says: I have heard your prayer and seen your tears; I will heal you. On the third day from now you will go up to the temple of the Lord.

No matter the transgression, God is our healer. If we come to Him, if we cry out to Him, He will surely heal us. All we have got to do is seek and trust Him with all our heart.

Psalm 30:2

Lord my God, I called to you for help, and you healed me.

If we call on God for help, He will surely heal us

Let us pray this prayer together:

Heavenly father, we pray that you heal those who are sick, whether spiritually or physically. Comfort those who face sorrows in their lives. Heal those who are heartbroken. Encourage those who are discouraged, help them find life’s purpose in you. Please heal them father. You have said that you are the God that heals thee; I now pray that you heal those who are suffering. God we bless your name, for we know for sure that you do things according to your will. Heal us O Lord. In your might name we pray and believe in healing, Amen!

If you prayed this prayer, and prayed over others and yourself, I pray that the Lord blesses you and heals you as well.

Should Your Religion Be Based On Your Feelings? Here is the answer..

Should a person decide what to believe based on his or her feelings or something that does not change with moods and circumstances? Big question! Imagine Jesus of Nazareth nailed up on the cross, dying for our sins. Suppose He said, “This is not fun. I am not feeling anything good up here. Let me off this cross. I expected good feelings, not this! Pain is not where it is at for Me. My commitment to die to pay the penalty for man’s sin is far beyond what I am feeling right now.” How would you have counseled Jesus when the bad pain hit Him? Feelings based religion is shaky. Commitments based on good feelings are subject to change any day. This unbiblical approach would make all our commitments very tentative, unpredictable, shaky. This includes: marriage, family, job and friends. A marriage vow would only mean, “I’ll stay with you as long as my good feelings last. After Jesus died on the cross He went down to hell, crushed the devil, and took the keys of life. The devil held us prisoners to fear of death, but now we are given the chance to enjoy eternal life with God the father. The greatest gift the human race can ever earn. It’s all free of charge to be set free, for the master has promised to do this free of charge to all those who desire to be free. If you have not yet accepted Christ, then you are still in a prison cell and you need to be freed from this. The only way that can happen is if you humble yourself and come to the master who has the keys to set you free.
